HOW THE MAGIC HAPPENS - The Soufflé creates a slight "cast" on the curls after it is applied, which traps moisture inside and gives definition. This will feel slightly hard to the touch while the curls are drying, but once they are completely dry, you just need to gently "scrunch" your hair upwards to break the cast and reveal soft, defined curls.
